Two of Virginia’s largest and most beloved events return this fall to Downtown Richmond. 

The 2nd Street Festival, in partnership with the City of Richmond, will take place October 4-5. The festival is in its 37th year of celebrating the rich culture of Downtown Richmond’s historic Jackson Ward neighborhood.

The Richmond Folk Festival, in partnership with the National Council for the Traditional Arts and the City of Richmond, will take place October 10-12. The festival is in its 21st year of celebrating the roots, richness, and variety of American culture along Downtown Richmond’s riverfront. 

“Venture Richmond Events is proud to produce these two fall festivals that continue to bring such optimism and joy to people from all over Richmond and Virginia.” said Stephen Lecky, director of events for Venture Richmond. “Together they represent a shared exhibition of heritage and new experiences, whether they are the rich traditions of the historic Jackson Ward community, or those from around the nation and the world presented on Downtown’s riverfront.”
