Richmond Times-Dispatch morning headlines available on Amazon Echo devices
Richmond, VA – The Richmond Times-Dispatch is excited to announce that its morning headlines are available on Amazon Echo devices. The updated Alexa app is made available to users through a partnership with Pearson Mazda.
Amazon Echo users can ask Alexa to enable the Richmond Times-Dispatch and every day a list of our top headlines will be available for users when they receive their flash briefings from Alexa.
The Times-Dispatch is embracing this smart home technology as part of our continuing efforts to reach new audiences for our journalism via technology and innovation.
The RTD’s headlines are updated every morning at 6 a.m. and include an editor’s selection of important headlines for Richmond and the surrounding region.
Amazon Echo users have three ways to enable headlines from the Richmond Times-Dispatch:
- • While using an Amazon Echo device, say “Alexa, enable the Richmond Times-Dispatch.”
- • Go to the Richmond Times-Dispatch skill page on Amazon.com and ENABLE the skill.
- • Open the Alexa app on a mobile device. Go to the top left menu, select SKILLS, search for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, choose the skill and then choose ENABLE.
